Keizer Pride Fair canceled for fear of threats

The 2nd-annual Keizer Pleasure Reasonable is staying canceled due to security problems.

Celebration organizer Claire Snyder, the exact same father or mother who coordinated the city’s inaugural celebration past 12 months, claimed Saturday that this year’s pageant is becoming canceled thanks to safety problems stemming from modern situations held in Keizer.

“We had been having difficulties to find a place that was safe,” Snyder instructed the Statesman Journal.

Hundreds attended the personal event at Chalmers Jones Park final calendar year. Drag performers kicked off the afternoon as volunteers and local companies in booths presented deal with painting, sidewalk chalk, roller skates, stickers, candles and artwork.
