Your guide to 2022 Easter egg hunts in Saginaw County

SAGINAW, MI — It’s finally spring, Easter is coming soon, and Easter egg hunts and visits with that famous bunny are filling community calendars.

Here’s a list of upcoming family-friendly events happening between now and Easter Sunday, April 17, throughout Saginaw County:

Easter egg hunt at VFW Post 1859

What: An Easter egg hunt divided by age groups as well as pictures with the Easter Bunny, happening rain or shine.

Where: VFW Post 1859, 3169 Carrollton Road in Carrollton Township

When: 3 p.m., Sunday, April 3

Easter egg hunt at Chesaning Comfort Care

What: Easter egg hunt (bring your own basket or bag) and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Where: Chesaning Comfort Care, 1800 W. Brady Road in Chesaning

When: 1 p.m., Saturday, April 9

Pictures with the Easter Bunny at Birch Run Premium Outlets

What: Dress up in your Easter best and take a photo with the Easter Bunny at the selfie station in section A of the outdoor shopping center.

Where: Birch Run Premium Outlets, 12240 S. Beyer Road in Birch Run

When: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., on both Saturday, April 9, and Sunday, April 10

Bridgeport Township Parks and Recreation’s annual Easter egg hunt

What: A free community event featuring an egg hunt (bring your own basket or bag), candy and prizes.

Where: Frank N. Andersen Complex, 3650 Southfield Drive in Bridgeport Township

When: Saturday, April 16, , with different times for different age groups. Children, ages 3 and under, at 11:15 a.m.; children, ages 4 to 7, at 11:30 a.m.; children, ages 8 to 12, at 11:45 a.m.

In the event of rain, this event will be rescheduled for Saturday, April 23.

Old Town Easter Egg Hunt

Old Town Saginaw Easter egg hunt

What: With more than 23,000 candy-filled eggs, event organizers believe this to be the state’s largest “urban Easter egg hunt.”

Where: Old Town Saginaw’s Borchard Park and on the courthouse lawn, 111 S. Michigan Ave. in Saginaw

When: Saturday, April 16, with different times and locations for different age groups. Toddlers, ages 1 to 3, will hunt for eggs from noon to 12:20 p.m. in Borchard Park; kids, ages 4 and 5, will hunt for eggs from 12:20 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the courthouse lawn; kids, ages 6 and 7, will hunt for eggs beginning at 12:45 p.m. on the courthouse lawn; kids, ages 8 and 9, will hunt for eggs beginning at 12:55 p.m. on the courthouse lawn.

Easter egg hunt presented by New Life Baptist Ministries and Mission in the City

What: 5,000 Easter eggs, food trucks, games, prizes, COVID supplies, HIV testing and more. Outside bags are not permitted. Admission is free.

Where: Dr. Rufus Bradley Sr. Mission in the City Park, 1401 Janes Ave. in Saginaw

When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 16

Easter egg hunt at St. Francis Nursing Home

What: 2,000 eggs will be hidden outside the facility for this free community event.

Where: St. Francis Nursing Home of Saginaw, 915 N. River Road in Thomas Township

When: 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 16

Easter egg helicopter drop at Life Church

What: Three helicopter egg drops for kids. Tickets are free while supplies last.

Where: Life Church, 5200 Tittabawassee Road in Kochville Township

When: 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Saturday, April 16 (infants to age 2 at 10 a.m., ages 3 to 6 at 10:30 a.m. and ages 7 to 11 at 11 a.m.)

Community Easter egg hunt

What: This community event will feature an egg hunt, Easter Bunny photos and hidden special prize eggs.

Where: 2138 Carolina, formerly Fuerbringer Elementary School, in Saginaw

Prom in the City’s 5th annual Easter egg hunt

What: A free community event with more than 1,000 eggs and Easter basket giveaways.

Where: Buena Vista Township Community Center, 1940 S. Outer Drive in Buena Vista Township

When: 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 17 (ages 6 and under at 4 p.m. and ages 7 to 11 at 4:30 p.m.)

What: “Dynamic worship, inspiring message and loving fellowship,” followed by an Easter egg dash for kids, organizers say.
