British competitor comes second at world’s biggest paper plane throwing event
n aircraft designer representing Britain at the world’s most important paper airplane throwing competitors has said he is “amazed” to have gained second spot.
Yicheng Sun, 32, was crowned runner-up at the Crimson Bull Paper Wings earth super ultimate by throwing a paper airplane a distance of 57.07 metres.
Mr Sun, who is a investigate fellow in aerospace auto layout at Cranfield College, in Bedfordshire, defeat 60 rivals from 58 nations in the longest length group.

“The ambiance was extraordinary all weekend, a proper electric powered ambiance.”
Whilst he did not get, Mr Wynn’s general performance still left a mark on the choose Costa who was impressed by the Brit’s decision to perform dressed as the superhero Batman.
“I definitely wanted to have a selfie with Batman,” Costa advised PA.
“It’s a shame my son was not listed here due to the fact he is a massive fan of Batman and he would have liked it.
“The opponents are working with paper planes which is one thing we all grew up with, primarily when I appear back again to my childhood when I was dreaming of remaining a pilot.
“It is great that Red Bull is using this as a device to convey alongside one another folks from all about the globe.”
Other highlights of the party saw aerobatics winner Seunghoon Lee, from South Korea, suggest to his girlfriend soon after remaining crowned the champion.
