Wherever do you dwell and what does your workspace glance like?

I stay in the south of Brazil, in a area of exuberant nature that is surrounded by wonderful shorelines. My workspace typically consists of my pc and graphics pill and is a part of the residence where I spend long hours imagining and developing my illustrations.

What has your journey to become an artist appeared like so far?

I had been craving a style for artwork for a extended time. I loved drawing at any time since I was a baby and in the course of the many years, I tried out to strengthen my capabilities and produce new approaches. Currently, I’m a entire-time illustrator, operating with children’s e book authors and publishers from a variety of areas of the globe.

How did you create your recent artwork type?

Above the several years, I have formulated my individual artistic identification as a result of screening distinctive strategies and observing other artists.

As for the cat artworks, I only started doing work on them about a year back. However, this tale started substantially previously, much more exactly in 2019, when we adopted our pet kitten Pudim. Dwelling with him, I started to notice feline behaviors which inspired me to work on my cat illustrations.

What does your artistic course of action seem like?

I typically start off with a fast and simple sketch, just to express the plan. Then I polish and refine it until eventually it finally seems to be like what I originally had in brain. At the time which is accomplished, I transfer the sketch to my laptop and bring it to daily life by introducing shades in Photoshop. I often use some supplemental supplies like cardboard to enrich the textures in my performs.

Which of your artworks is your most loved and why?

It’s a person I designed recently, titled Cats in the Moonlight. I like it merely simply because it captures a pretty instant that these two cats share under the shining moon. I also like the contrasting hues in this piece – they have always captivated me and influenced my perform.

What are your greatest inspirations?

They typically appear from great family times with our cat. It’s those funny day-to-day predicaments that lead me to comprehend that cats are mystical beings with their peculiar feline behaviors and rituals. This is anything I consider to express in some of my illustrations, creating an imaginary entire world complete of secret and magic that all the fellow cat enthusiasts can enjoy.

If you could decide on 1 artist to seize a espresso with – who would it be?

It would be pleasant to share a cup with Adolfo Serra, I love the way he illustrates!

What are your other passions?

When I’m not drawing, I’m a family particular person. I invest time with my small children Caroline and Lucas, and my pricey spouse Alessandra. They are my enthusiasm.

What are your designs for the potential?

I want to keep doing the two matters I like the most – doing work on my illustrations and spending high-quality time with my spouse and children!
