The Arise Music Festival, which was set to be held in Boone over Memorial Day weekend, has been canceled.

The three-working day Arise art and songs festival, which was established to be held in Boone about Memorial Day weekend, has been canceled on shorter notice right after Pueblo County officers denied the organizers a allow to maintain the function.

“Arise is devastated and heartbroken two weeks just before generation — and should terminate about a thousand work and companies, quite a few of them artists,” the event’s producer, Luke Comer, said in a assertion posted on the festival’s web page.

Canceling the pageant also meant a loss of all-around $1 million for the Pueblo region, he explained.
