WILLIAMSTOWN — Williamstown Substantial College held a signing occasion Monday for senior John Coleman who is becoming a member of the West Virginia National Guard.
The signing was portion of the statewide Military Signing Week celebration and featured veteran Capt. Jim Waybright who spoke to attending juniors and seniors about his decades of army provider in Vietnam.
Waybright is the receiver of two Silver Star Medals and two Purple Heart Medals.
Monday’s party included a presentation of colours by the Parkersburg South Superior University Air Force ROTC, the National Anthem by the Williamstown Superior School Choir and remarks from SSG Perry Henry, a recruiter with the U.S. Army and National Guard.
